About the company
ATO-GEAR is a young and ambitious sports technology start-up company focused on the wearable electronics market. Our launching product ARION is an ultra-thin smart insole for runners and athletes, allowing them to get an insight into their running technique. By providing real-time feedback a runner can adapt their running technique to help improve performance and reduce the risk of injury. We are a small but driven entrepreneurial team that makes cutting edge science accessible for the masses, ultimately bringing the coaching experience to the world of wearables.

About this internship
During your internship you will research our current user base and potential users. Based on these results you will deliver reports and build strategies.
You will need to gauge the loyalty of our users to our brand. This will be captured in the so-called Net Promoter Score (NPS), an index that measures the willingness of our customers to recommend ARION to others. You’ll report the why behind the NPS; why does the customer recommend ARION to his/her friends and family? Thanks to which features or which results? Or; why doesn’t the customer recommend ARION? Is a certain feature missing? You’ll also develop a marketing system in which we can continuously test the NPS to keep track of its progression.
You will also research different pricing opportunities for our product ARION. At the moment ARION is sold as a wearable with a one-off price, without a subscription model or upsell opportunities. It’s up to you to research the landscape of wearables and develop an improved pricing and product strategy to increase our revenue stream. This new strategy has be validated with (potential) users to ensure it’s viable.
All of your insights are highly valuable and will immediately impact our product offering, which will increase sales and revenue. What’s important as well is to develop a strategy on how to keep our users engaged with using ARION. It’s important customers keep using and benefiting from our product, for potential future upsell opportunities and to increase the likelihood of them recommending ARION to friends and family.
